SCQTT SAYS
TOSS WITH CARE
“Porch suppers are for sharing. As
the afternoon cools into evening,
letyourguestssitand linger over
large platters of food. While they
build their plates to their liking,
offer to custom season and toss
each salad. A gentle fold-together
at the last will keep the lettuce from
beingcrushed and allowthe thinly
sliced chives and cucumber to
catch in the folds and curves of the
tender lettuce leaves.”
